Senior Data Engineer - Job Description

Overview

As a mainstream communication platform, Zalo makes it easier to meaningfully connect with people, from family to friends to work. As a Data Engineer working on Zalo product, you have a chance to make a positive impact on more than 76M active users by leveraging the power of our data. Specifically, this role focuses on data science to understand our users and find opportunities to improve user satisfaction through Data Science techniques.

Job Descriptions

• Enhance and optimize core data components, including big data systems, libraries, and feature stores, to boost productivity and streamline processes;
• Develop and implement new automated methods for data modeling, data validation, and data analysis, such as AutoEDA, AutoML, DataGPT, and AutoFunnel;
• Continuously evaluate, measure, deploy, and monitor model performance to identify and address model drift, feature drift, and concept drift;
• Design and maintain efficient data pipelines for processing large data sets.

Job Requirements

• Proficiency in Java/Scala or Python programming languages;
• Experience handling substantial volumes of real data, with a focus on building and maintaining scalable data pipelines;
• Strong knowledge of data technologies, including Apache Spark, Hadoop/Yarn, and Airflow/Luigi;
• Excellent analytical, observational, and problem-solving skills;
• Familiarity with web development is a plus.
